Fasig-Tipton March Digital Selected Sale Catalog Now Online; The bidding is open – Horse Racing News

Fasig Tipton cataloged 18 entries for its March Selected Digital Sale, the company’s first online auction to take place on its new digital platform. Bidding is now officially open for sale and will close this Tuesday, March 22 at 2 p.m. EDT.

The catalog, now available on digital.fasigtipton.comconsists of horses of racing age, racing prospects and/or broodmares, mares in foal and a stallion share in the European champion Almanzor (FR).

“We couldn’t be happier with the strength of this catalog,” said Fasig-Tipton Digital Sales Manager Leif Aaron. “Our goal with this first digital auction was to build a catalog of high quality entries and, with the support of our shippers, we have achieved this. Potential buyers will find something of interest on every page, with horses of racing age in top current form, prospects from credentialed and stake-certified broodmares, and mares in foal on exciting blankets.

“In addition, we are happy to offer a share to promising young stallion Almanzor (FR), who is off to a fantastic start at stud in both the northern and southern hemispheres,” added Aaron. “This is a rare offering that adds another level of international interest and intrigue to our first digital sale.”

The cataloged entries are:

  • Mohaafeth (Hip 1): The four-year-old racing prospect is a Kentucky-bred son of Tapit. He won an NW1X allowance over a mile, earning a speed of 83 Beyer on February 26 with a hard trip.
  • Risky Analysis (Hip 2): Freud’s broodmare prospect was a six-figure earner at the track and is a half-sister to recent Grade 2 Rebel Stakes winner Un Ojo.
  • Rogue Too (Hip 3): The racing/broodmare prospect is a stakes winner and 11-time winner of $234,077.
  • Suchada (Hip 4): Half-sister to Grade 1 winning millionaire Finnegans Wake is the first mare to be offered in foal to the Knicks Go Horse of the Year. She mated on February 10, 2022 and verified foal.
  • Thought (Hip 5): Broodmare prospected by Nyquist is a half-sister to the winner of the stakes and the virtual machine placed in rank 1 Bajan and the ranked stakes. His immediate family includes Year 1 winners Lemons Forever, Forever Unbridled, and Unbridled Forever.
  • White Pine (Hip 6): The hopeful broodmare by Tapit is a half-sister to stake winner Itsmyluckycharm, from the family of Grade 1 winners Albert le Grand and Rushing Fall.
  • Savage Empress (hip 7): Potential broodmare by Empire Maker is a half-sister to Eclipse Champion 2-year-old filly She Be Wild.
  • Share of stallions in Almanzor (FR) (Hip 8): A stallion share in Almanzor (FR), a European champion son of Wootton Bassett (GB). Almanzor is off to a fast start at stud with winners in four countries and four black-type winners in the northern and southern hemispheres.
  • Baladi (Hip 9): The Kentucky-bred racing prospect is a 3-year-old son placed by Pioneerof the Nile.
  • Barossa (Hip 10): Race hope/stallion is a 3 year old son of a royal breed of top sire in mischief which placed in the G2 Los Alamitos Futurity at two.
  • Blue Diva (hip 11): The broodmare prospect is the winner of the stakes and seven-time winner of $250,061.
  • Canelito (Hip 12): Registered in Canada/Ontario, this is a 3 year old classic racing prospect. He is a winner in his last two starts at Gulfstream Park, most recently on March 4.
  • Chilly Sky (Hip 13): Girl placed from Sky Mesa carrying her first foal. She was bred to Maclean’s Music on February 17, 2022 and verified foal.
  • Golden nutmeg (hip 14): young girl from Medaglia d’Oro is a half-sister to multiple graduate stakes winner Avery Island. She is offered in foal to the current third generation sire, Not This Time.
  • Heston (Hip 15): 3-year-old racing prospect raised in Kentucky by Called is out of a winning Grade 1 listed Drosselmeyer half-sister and still has all of her conditions.
  • Moravian Prayer (Hip 17): Winner half-sister of 1st year winner The postman is also a half-sister to the dam of recent Grade 1 winner Keeper of the Stars. Carrying his first foal by an exciting young sire Reached.
  • Ronce Berry (Hip 18): The five-year-old mare is in fine form, having finished second in last Saturday’s G3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes at Gulfstream with career-best Beyer speed. She is a half-sister to multi-stakes winner and ranked stakes winner Bramble Queen of the Red Bullet classic winner family.

Each entry’s page will feature a catalog-style pedigree, five-cross pedigree, photos, and walking videos. For this inaugural sale, all horses of racing age have x-rays at the depot.
