Learn to catalog family photos – The Vacaville Reporter

Working with family photos and feeling stuck?

The next meeting of the Solano County Genealogical Society, at 11 a.m. on September 3, might be for you.

Nancy Loe will present “Picture This: Cataloging Digital Family Photos” during a virtual presentation.

Loe is a professional genealogist, archivist and librarian who has helped hundreds of people with family research in the United States and Europe. After a long professional career in academic archives and genealogy libraries, she launched her website,, featuring a monthly newsletter, blog, and genealogy e-books on American and European research. She wants to help genealogists do smart research and find more primary sources.

Loe frequently appears at regional, national and international genealogy webinars and conferences.

During the encounter, learn to tame your digital family photographs by adding names, dates, and other information to the images. It will cover simple and efficient processes, from scanning and adding information to retrieve, to filing and backing up your photographs.

The event is free.
