Alluxa, Inc.., a specialist in high performance optical coatings and filters and thin film deposition technologies, announces expansion of online product catalog including specialty hard coated filters with extended wavelength ranges from ultraviolet (UV) ) to infrared (IR). Alluxa will showcase the new catalog optical filters at SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, Orlando, Florida, April 5-7, 2022, Booth #1525.
The new extended spectral performance of the 200nm to 14µm range is offered on a variety of Alluxa’s optical filters, including the largest selection of ultra-narrowband filters currently available. A sample of new products with the extended spectral range which can be ordered from the in line catalog are the 224 OD5 ultra-steep high-pass filter, the 10600 OD6 notch filter, the 10600-100 OD2 narrowband filter and the 224-3 OD4 narrowband filter. UV to Mid-IR coatings can also be deposited on substrates of various sizes and shapes, and even on large format parts. Alluxa’s specialist filters mentioned above can also be ordered in custom sizes, if required.
Extended spectral wavelengths are made possible by the company’s recently introduced innovative SIRRUS plasma physical vapor deposition (PVD) platform. Revolutionary deposition process enables full coverage of the UV to IR spectrum with the highest transmission, steepest edges, and deepest blocking available, while maintaining excellent uniformity, precise wavelength control and high performance.
Peter Egerton, CCO of Alluxa, notes: “We are delighted to announce our new catalog of optical filters with extended UV to IR filters. These bandpass, dichroic, notch and longwave optical filters offer superior performance and exceptional durability over traditional filters in these spectral ranges, allowing us to offer advanced UV-IR spectral management solutions at our clients.
