Sea Sanctuaries, other U.S. stamps given Scott catalog numbers

Scott Catalog News by Charles Snee

Another month has passed, and that means it’s time to reveal another batch of new Scott catalog numbers.

The publishers of the Scott Catalogs assign catalog numbers to new issues each month from the United States, United Nations and postal services around the world.

The new Scott numbers provided here are for recently issued US stamps. New Scott issues for worldwide stamps are given in the Scott New Listings update in the expanded monthly issue of Linn Stamp News.

This month’s listings include Scott issues for Mariachi Undenominated Commemorative Stamps (60¢), Pete Seeger Undenominated Commemorative Stamp (60¢), Undenominated Commemorative Stamp Quartet (60¢) Saluting Buzz Lightyear and the undenominated stamp (60¢) National Marine Sanctuaries pane of 16. Official Scott are also unpunched varieties of these stamps from uncut press sheets without die cuts.

What do these Scott numbers mean? In short, the listing of each stamp in an upcoming edition of the Scott 2023 catalogs.

Having these numbers handy will allow you to easily locate these stamps in Scott catalogs and learn more about their production and values.

Now that you have some context, here are the new US Scott numbers:
