Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley has sold his publishing catalog

You can add Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley to the growing list of artists who have sold their publishing and catalog of recorded music. The new agreement finds HarbourView Equity Partners to acquire Whibley’s publishing and recorded music.

During his career, Whibley is best known for his work leading Sum 41. They have sold over 15 million records worldwide, earned one Grammy nomination, won two Juno Awards (out of seven nominations ), have a Kerrang! Award and several wins at the Alternative Press Music Awards. Additionally, Whibley has also been active as a producer and mixer.

For HarbourView, the company recently acquired the catalogs of Hollywood Undead, as well as Brad Paisley, Lady A, Luis Fonsi and more.

Sum 41 has released seven albums in total, the most recent being 2019. Declining order. Talk with rolling stone in March, Whibley revealed that a double album titled heaven and hell is currently under construction. The heaven part would be pop-punk inspired, while the Hell part is more focused on metal.
