CANBY, Oregon – Terra Nova Nurseries, a global leader in plant breeding, today released the 2022-2023 edition of its Plant Catalog, celebrating three decades of breeding innovations, creative solutions, and groundbreaking research and discovery for world horticulture. The new catalog is now online on Terra Nova website and will be distributed in print during Cultivate 2022.
The catalog features new and popular varieties, series and collections from Terra Nova Nurseries; outstanding results from national and international test gardens; and highlights of horticultural events and exhibitions in China in which Terra Nova has participated.
Terra Nova’s breeding and marketing teams have co-designed the new catalog to celebrate the company’s 30 years of success in the horticultural industry. The commemorative design includes a special 30th anniversary theme on the catalog cover that features many of Terra Nova’s most admired varieties.
The pages inside the lookbook-style catalog include organized information sections with colorful images and helpful stories for professional finishing growers looking for the best strains. The catalog was conceptualized and created to serve as an easy-to-use product selection guide, providing digital and printed access to a curated overview of the industry knowledge of Terra Nova’s selection team. It was also designed as an information and photography guide for garden centers and landscapers.
Plant varieties selected for various landscape and other applications are presented in groups with genera and collections for related purposes in the catalog; these plants are detailed in dedicated page sections including “Terra Nova Nursery Pollinator Plants”, “Terra Nova Houseplants”, “Terra Nova North American Nativars” and “Terra Nova Low Water Users” .
The catalog also includes dynamic and descriptive sections to summarize Terra Nova’s many cutting-edge genres; these sections include garden photos and profile information for agastache, begonia, bergenia, coleus, dicentra, echinacea, helleborus, heuchera, kniphofia, leucanthemum, nepeta and others.
New to this edition of the catalog is a display page showing photos of beautiful landscaping projects and events that Terra Nova has consulted for in China. These include the Moasiculture projects in Beijing, which were designed by Terra Nova and its licensee Beijing Florascape; and the 2021 Damu Garden Festival, which was planned with Terra Nova China representative Kevin Chen and hosted by Chongqing licensee Tianmu Agriculture.
