US-based hemp e-commerce platform HempDig.com has signed a letter of intent to purchase the HempTradePro.com online catalog.
HempDig, based in Johnson City, Tennessee, is an e-commerce platform for hemp buyers and sellers of all sizes – from those trading wholesale and bulk B2B products to mom-and-pop growers selling directly to consumers.
HempDig said current market conditions mean that some hemp products still have to cross borders and, in some cases, oceans. The robust HempDig platform can facilitate this trade, but also support the development of more closely linked supply networks through location-based functionality that is part of the service.
HempTradePro, launched in 2017 as a sister platform to Polish company HempToday.net, was one of the first hemp platforms set up for buyers and sellers to connect. HempDig was launched in 2019.
HempToday serves as a media partner on the merged HempDig service under the terms of the agreement.
In addition to B2B buyers, B2C resellers who qualify under the HempDig Supplier guidelines can create stores on the site and publish a limited number of products for free. Additional listings and a range of paid premium services to support product offerings are available through HempDig and HempToday.
