From Scott’s Writing by Jay Bigalke

The new Scott 2023 Specialized Catalog of United Nations Stamps is the essential reference work for collectors of United Nations postage stamps and postal history. The catalog’s tentative release date is May 1, its release coinciding with the annual meeting of the United Nations Philatelists Inc. at the Philatelic Show, April 29-May 1, in Boxborough, Mass.

The UN section will no longer appear in the Scott Specialized catalog of United States stamps and envelopesbut simplified lists will continue to be included in the Scott Standard Catalog of Postage Stamps, vol. 1.

The new catalog, which will be a 6-inch-by-9-inch softcover book of approximately 300 pages, also includes listings and values for first-day covers, registration pads, panes and more. Separate sections are included for the offices in New York, Geneva and Vienna, as well as United Nations souvenir cards, United Nations evidence and the United Nations Temporary Executive Authority for West New Guinea, the Transitional Authority United Nations in East Timor and the United Nations Interim Administration in Kosovo.

New UN stamp listings will be included until Spring 2022, just before the release of the new catalog. Additional catalog information will be released closer to the release date.
