The Tattersalls Somerville 1 Year Sale catalog is now online

The catalog for the second renewal of the Tattersalls Somerville 1 Year Sale is now online and can be viewed at www.tattersalls.com. The catalog includes 313 yearlings which will be offered for sale on September 6, all of whom will be eligible for the £100,000 Tattersalls Somerville Auction Stakes as well as the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.

The Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale’s focus on conformation and precocity stemmed from a bumper year at the racecourse for inaugural sale purchases, with the winner of the Coventry Stakes (G2) bradsell the winner of the Weatherbys Super Sprint Eddie’s Boy and winner of the list New collection among the highlights. These successes and the momentum of the inaugural sale resulted in a catalog of genuine quality and depth, featuring full or half-siblings of 58 listed bands and artists, including star graduate Eddie’s Boy.

Among the strengths of the foals on offer are a Profitable half-brother of Group 2 winner Yonkersa Mayson half-brother of Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed Ventura Rebel and one Ulysses half-brother of the 3rd year winner Lady Pimpernel . Intelligently bred fillies are led by a Profitable half-sister to the Group 1 winner hi soldier a Kodiac full sister of the group 3 winning sprinter Koropick and one Black Angel half-sister of the 2nd year winner A production and winner of group 3 Nakuti .

In total, there are siblings of 216 cataloged 2-year-old winners and 79 yearlings out of dams who themselves won as 2-year-olds. a colt by Highlight among Langleys Solicitors EBF Marygate Fillies Stakes winner Delizia and a filly by Dark Angel and the winner of the double list Regatta .

Whitsbury Manor Stud Farm Havana Gray led the way numerically at Somerville’s first yearling sale and then led the way to top the first season bull chart with 26 individual winners and eight group/list performers to date. Once again he has the most number of yearlings listed with 21. The Tattersalls Somerville Sale

The biggest shipment of yearlings will come from Tally-Ho Stud with 17 cataloged batches, followed by Trickledown Stud with 13, while last year’s top-selling shipper Petches Farm will field a small but select draft of four colts.

All yearlings cataloged in the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale are eligible for the £100,000 Tattersalls Somerville Auction Stakes in addition to the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes which take place five weeks later. Eighty-eight of the listed fillies are also registered with the lucrative Great British Bonus Scheme and eligible to win up to £20,000 in bonus prizes per qualifying race.
