Viz Media has announced and confirmed its catalog of manga releases in May, including three new series. The biggest and most anticipated title on this list is that of Hiroki Tomisawa Supersmartphone manga in English on May 8. After revealing the first three chapters as part of their “Jump Start” initiative, fans have been eagerly awaiting more. As of now, it is unknown if Shueisha’s Manga Plus will also release the given titles on their platform.
Viz Media describes the story of Supersmartphone follows a high school student who finds a phone. With this phone, he can “search for anything on Earth and use it to solve tough criminal cases”. Additionally, the manga will be launched in the 23rd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump review Monday. The manga is in the suspense and mystery genre and will have 54 pages in its first chapter.
